Home

After 51 days in hospital, Noah finally came home yesterday! There were a few times during this stay that I thought we'd never see the day. We are just so very thankful to finally be home and together again as a family. As this is a public blog and not private, and I'd like to keep it that way, I feel unable to share all the events of the past week. But trust has been broken between us as a family and the medical staff, and unfortunately, I feel that we are no longer part of the team in Noah's care. It will be very difficult to regain that and I can't even begin to imagine how to do that. The worst part is that we know this will not be our last hospital stay, but it will be very hard to go back when Noah gets sick again. A huge thank you to the staff on CH5 who have been our support through a very rough time. Please pray for a good long break this time. We need it now more than ever.

Look what God has done again! Welcome back home Noah- we look forward to seeing that you stay there for a good long time again!
We'll be praying for you guys and the situation with the hospital staff etc. I hope you feel His peace in that area today, even if you don't yet see the changes that you want.

I am so glad to read you are home. I am unsure of what happened during your stay but can tell you we have been through similar situations where our medical staff has completely broken down any faith and trust we have in them. I still dread going inpatient at a particular hospital due to this. So I think in some way I understand what you mean.

I am so sorry to hear of your experience. I don't know you, but I am a Christian, and I am a nurse. I know how vital that trust is between health care teams and families. Please be encouraged. You have had many good interactions during Noah's journey. God knows how you feel, He has seen how you've been treated. And He has Noah & you in the palm of His hand. He won't forget you, no matter what humans may do.

You come to mind so often. So often. May the moments together as a family fill up your 'tank' - with loads of love and laughs and joy and peace and rest.

Yeah Noah!!! You are so strong and brave. How wonderful for you to be home and in the arms of your family who love you all so much. You are so precious Noah! I will pray that the hospital relationships will be healed. Enjoy your time home with your little one. I hope it is a long, extended stay!!
