In Hospital

Noah was admitted to hospital on Thursday. He was very dehydrated from the chickenpox. They started an IV and also started him on a continuous feeding pump to rehydrate him. He is doing much better today, but he is still continuing to lose weight. He is not refluxing as bad on the continuous feeding pump, so no one can figure out why he is still losing. He has been labelled as "severe failure to thrive". So right now it is trial and error as they continue to try different types of formula and different concentrations to figure out what will work best for him. Looks like he will be there at least a few more days until he starts to put on some weight.

Thanks for updating us again- I was so hoping to see you'd be home already. Our Bible Study group is also praying for you, little Noah (and your family). We pray for you Brad and Nichole, as parents, for peace as you sit and "wait". It must be so terrible to see your precious little boy not thriving. As you want to do something more for Noah, know that God is holding Him and you in His arms.

I'm just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I'm sad to see that Noah's in the hospital. I hope that you find some comfort in knowing that many of us are praying for you, Noah, and of course the rest of your family too. Sending lots of hugs your way Nichole!

Hi there,
You don't know me, but my husband & I were in Jamie & Erik's Bible study last year. I found your blog through Jaimie's. We will be praying for a quick, healthy recovery for your baby boy.

Nichole and Brad,
Noah definately is a beautiful gift from God. When I held him at Christmas I couldn't believe how precious he was. Thank you for keeping all of us updated and sharing Noah's journey with the rest of us.
I pray that you experience the Lord's blessings in ways you'd never dream of! HE loves you so much, Noah!!
Many thoughts and prayers from my family and many others here in Seattle.
Love,
