The Calm

We invested in some new patio furniture yesterday just in time for this beautiful weather. The boxes turned out to be hours of entertainment. Now, how am I ever going to get them thrown out??

What is it with kids and boxes anyways??

It was a quiet week after our plaster fight at RCC. Bloodwork on thursday went well. We also met with the ostomy nurse to try out a new ostomy bag on Noah's stoma. It's still not working well, and his skin is once again breaking down. So I've given up with the bag for now and we are just covering his stoma with gauze. It's a minor frustration really, but having that stoma repaired cannot come soon enough. No surgery date yet though.

We are in the calm right now...how long it will last before the next storm hits, we never know. It's difficult to settle in the calm...to enjoy the calm...when I am always wondering when and where lightening will strike. I long for some nice boring days...to be able to plan out the summer months ahead, instead of always wondering if that day will bring another hospital stay.

Thank you, God, for these days of calm. May they continue for many days to come! Yes, boxes are great fun, they can be whatever the imagination wishes! Furniture looks good, too! Hope you get lots of time to enjoy it. Praying for you all with our love, Grandma L.

I pray for you everyday, that you would sense God's peace, despitethe fears that are always there. You guys have been through so much, and you know that God has been there every step of the way. Rest in the fact, that He will never leave your side. Noah looks great. I am sure he is loving this weather. I am reminded of the Isralites in the desert. God fed them manna every morning, enough for that day. God will be your strength TODAY. Tomorrow He will give you a brand new measure of manna,so live today, in the present, in the here and now, and enjoy every single minute. Love you so much. Hugs to all of you...mom "The Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with his love. He wania 3:17ill rejoice over you with singing" Zep

Beautiful patio furniture!! And the boxes are such a hit! We go to our recycling depot and bring home boxes (cheaper then buying somehting in the boxes...)and they last until the rain makes them soggy... or they gt hauled into the basement...

I am praying for the calm to last a very long time. And boxes are the absolute best. I used to get them brought into my kindergarten class and the kiddies made them into so many different things...
