Good Decision, Greater God

As you know, Noah and Nichole made it back to Winnipeg last night. Nichole was quite worried that Noah may not even be well enough to make it home. While in flight, he looked really bad (grey) and was really having a tough time breathing. I guess there are very few parents that think about what they would do if their child passes away in the next couple hours, but this was one of those times. We have become somewhat accustom to that possibility and always need to keep that in mind. This time though was tough because was Nichole was on her own and not in Canada.

Then the pilot on the flight from Minneapolis to Winnipeg came on the speakers saying they may have to re-route to Grand Forks, ND due to bad weather. A real `you`ve got to be kidding` moment. But as you know, by the grace and goodness of God (once again) and the prayers of many, he made it home.

He is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and on CPAP to assist his breathing, but happy, sitting up, and up to his usual tricks. He has RSV which he has had in the past and hopefully can get over again. (I will try to refrain from going into how he was denied the RSV vaccine due to his age of all things a few weeks ago). This is a time for thanks. Thank you to God for his deliverance, and thank you to everyone`s thoughts and prayers for our son.

I am so, so thankful that Noah is doing better tonight. I am so glad he made it home. I can't imagine how awful that was for Nichole and for you guys not being able to be right there. We are continuing to pray for you guys!

Still praying for you guys. Poor little guy. That must have been soooo scary on the airplane. Praise the Lord you both made it home. Praying that he will get over this virus quickly.

Glad that you are home and that Noah is looking better. No smiles for me this morning, but his colour was SO much better than when I picked them up last night. Hugs to all of you!

While Nichole was on the plane yesterday, I was praying, and God just filled me with His peace, and assured me that Nichole and Noah were NOT alone in that plane. Not only was Jesus there, but there was a host of angels surrounding our precious daughter and grandkids. How great is the love the Father has lavished on us. Thanks for posting Brad, LOve you..mom

I am so glad that Noah is holding his own. My heart was breaking for both of you- how difficult to be separated at this time. My guess is you are very unselfishly thinking of what is best for all 3 of your precious children. May God give peace, strength and comfort to all of you- you are in our prayers.

Thank you for this update. I am so glad that Noah is back in Winnipeg, in the care of a team that knows him well. We too are familiar with that nasty RSV virus
(our boys were >3 months premature and have lung damage from extended intubation). I cannot imagine what it was like on that plane, so scary to be physically alone. But as your mother said, Nichole and Noah were not alone at all, were they?

I'll be praying for continued improvements, and peace and strength for all of you.

Nichole we PTL once again how He saw you through all of this. I cannot even imagine what it was like for you to be on that plane sitting in a confined space like that, and knowing there was nothing you could do. We can all learn from that because we all have times in our lives where we need to just SIT and TRUST.Bless you and I am so thankful that Noah is already doing better. We continue to pray and believe.
P.S. Brad ,we pray that you will enjoy your time with Kailyn and Joshua. love Auntie Hilda

Hey guys!

Just wanted to check in and see how Noah was doing. I hope you guys are doing well under the circumstances and no news is good news.

How are Brad and kids enjoying Florida?

I am really sorry that you had to cut your trip short.

But I am glad that you guys got 9 good days in!!! :) Much better than we could have guessed over the past few months, anyway!! :)

God is good. So good.

Hang on to what you KNOW to be true...even when it seems like things are upside down.

Hi there guys!

:)

I am starting to get a little worried about you guys. Normally we hear from you guys every day or so...?

Is everything ok?

Just an FYI - I went to see Noah this morning (Monday) and Noah is still in PICU and on the CPAP. This morning his blood gases were not as good as they had hoped when they decreased his settings, so he is still on the highest settings. Nichole said his chest is still really tight and they are just trying to ride out the RSV. Oh, and his GJ tube came out so they are hoping to get that back in today sometime.

Nichole & Brad - hope you don't mind that I put this little update here...people were wondering and since I saw you today thought I'd post it so people can continue to pray for Noah.

Hugs to my Bean...
